i love my dog. his name is Honey. we play together, like in this picture. he is so cute! he is a toy poodle.
there are really cute dogs at the Animal Rescue League, like him.
we went camping, and he tried to run away, so we had to keep him tied up.
he got this prickly thing in his fur, it was stuck, we had to use a kitchen knife to cut it out.
mom gave him the worst haircut while me and my sister were at a sleepover! i was so surprised! i was worried his hair wouldn't grow back, but it did.
here he is! such a cutey!

I really enjoyed reading about your dog Honey. I can tell you love him a lot! My family has two cats, Boze and Sparky. My daughter Cheyenne is 4 years old and learning to be a pet owner herself. It's a lot of work, but a lot of fun too! Good luck with your writing! :)

I loved this post, Scout! I can tell how much you love Honey. I think the curls in his fur are my favorite part. I don't have any pets right now, but when I buy a house later this year I'm going to go to the Animal Rescue League and pick out a dog and I'll make sure to send you a picture! ReplyDeleteI'm going to ask my daughter if she wants to make a blog. Her 2nd grade class has a blog, and sometimes the students get to make posts, but I think she might like her own!
we usually only leave our dog alone for a few hours. he hates it when we're gone. sometimes, on a special day like if we have a party or something, he has to stay home alone for 6 hours.

Hi! I went to a place called Four Footed Friends (I asked them to call me when they got an older smoosh faced dog!) near Homer City PA. They had a really funny/sad looking boy named Chuck, that needed a home desperately. He was an English Bulldog! But his previous owners had abused him then dumped him in the shelter because he started biting. I'd bite too, if people were mean to me! Anyway! Chuck got along with my Boxer Bella and we brought him home, he lived with me for three wonderful happy years before he died in January, he was 9 years old which is a good long life for an English Bulldog! I certainly enjoyed reading your blog about Honey and I'll be checking back to read more. You are a very good writer!

Hi Scout! Honey seems like a very nice dog. You both are very lucky to have each other. We have one cat. His name is Pooch. He is 10 years old but still likes to play like a kitten. ReplyDeleteWhat a great tribute to Honey! He's completely adorable, and these pictures make me wish we could have a dog, too. We have two ferrets and four cats, though, so we have our hands full with the pets already. Plus, one of our cats, Merlin, REALLY doesn't like dogs. He's very sweet and gentle with humans, but he's very mean to dogs. So, for now, we have to just admire other people's awesome dogs.
Did your family get to name Honey, or did he already have that name when you adopted him?
we got to name him Honey. at the shelter, they had him named Macho. we didn't think that was a very good name!

He also came from the pound. Pound puppies make great pets! Thanks for sharing your thoughts about Honey - he is a really cute poodle.
